How I work

I believe lasting change happens when people feel supported, understood and equipped with practical tools they can apply in everyday life.

Through coaching, workshops and wellbeing programs, I help Leaders, Teams, Parents & Individuals build the awareness, skills and confidence needed to navigate pressure, strengthen relationships and create positive change.

My work is centred around three key areas;

Psychological Safety

Healthy cultures don't happen by accident. Whether in workplaces, schools or communities, people perform at their best when they feel safe to contribute, ask questions, share concerns and learn from mistakes. I help leaders and teams translate psychological safety principles into practical everyday behaviours that strengthen communication, trust, wellbeing and performance.

Compassion Without Carrying

Many people work in roles where they support others through challenges, stress, uncertainty or change. While compassion is essential, carrying the emotional weight of everyone around us can lead to overwhelm, fatigue and burnout. I help people develop the skills to care deeply while maintaining healthy boundaries, emotional awareness and personal wellbeing.

Parents & Community Support

Strong communities are built on strong connections. Drawing on both professional and lived experience, I support parents, families, schools and community groups to navigate challenges such as resilience, communication, wellbeing and school engagement. My goal is to help create environments where young people, families and communities can thrive.

My approach combines lived experience, leadership experience, behavioural profiling tools and evidence-informed coaching frameworks in a way that is practical, supportive and deeply human. Much of the work I do centres around what I call the "Invisible Load" — the emotional, mental and personal pressures people often carry silently while still trying to perform at work, at home and in life.

Because when people are better supported, healthier teams, stronger families and more connected communities can thrive.

Why This Work Matters To Me

For more than 30 years, I worked in high-pressure media and sales environments. And honestly, I loved it.

I loved the people I worked with, the clients, the pace, the energy, the challenges and the adrenaline that came with it. I thrived on solving problems, hitting deadlines, achieving results and moving straight onto the next challenge. Like many high performers, I wore pressure almost like a badge of honour.

Over time, I also learned that constantly operating at full capacity comes at a cost. I remember telling myself repeatedly, “Just make it to the next holiday and then you can rest.”

Eventually, after returning from a long-awaited overseas holiday, my body forced me to stop. I came back exhausted from travel and jet lag, jumped straight back into back-to-back meetings and high-pressure work, and shortly afterwards I experienced a seizure.

It was my body’s way of telling me something I had ignored for too long. Rest is not a reward you earn after burnout, it’s something your body needs along the way. Because I had experienced a seizure 4 years earlier, I already knew how important sleep and recovery were for my health. Like many people carrying an invisible load, I had convinced myself I could just keep pushing through.

The recovery period that followed impacted me deeply, physically, emotionally and mentally. It took time to rebuild my confidence, my wellbeing and my sense of identity outside of constant performance and productivity. What I learned through that experience changed the way I see pressure, leadership and wellbeing completely. I no longer believe success should come at the expense of our health, relationships or self-worth.

Today, the work I do is driven by a deep passion for helping people recognise pressure earlier, navigate it more sustainably and build the self-leadership skills needed to support both performance and wellbeing at both an organisational and human level. Because behind every workplace role, leadership title or parent responsibility is still a human being carrying things others often cannot see and when people are better supported, healthier people, connected teams and stronger communities become possible.

When people are better supported, healthier teams, families and communities can thrive.
